The Medication Management System (MMS)
What is the MMS?
A system that will provide a secure and comprehensive record of medications for ALL 13.5 Million Ontarians
- ePrescribing: allow physicians, nurse practitioners, pharmacist (smoking cessation) and other clinicians to send prescriptions electronically to pharmacies
- Drug information system (DIS): medication history which is comprehensive of all prescriptions ePrescribed and dispensed in Ontario
Who will benefit from it?
- Patients
- Pharmacists
- Physicians
- Other health care professionals (Dentists, Optometrist etc..)
- The health care system in Ontario
